About

Scott Powell is a producer, business affairs and production generalist, from Boston, Massachusetts specializing in motion picture, commercial, digital and branded content. Scott attended the Savannah College of Art and Design, graduating with a B.F.A in Film and Television and a minor in Advertising. Bringing a multi-faceted set of skills to all his projects, Scott has gained experience in all forms of media and branded content. Throughout his career, he has worked on eight feature length theatrical productions, one major network TV show, Sony Pictures WGN Television show, “Underground”, Season 2, and two independent documentaries. In 2015, Scott worked closely with Doug Pray and Patrick O’Brien in the editorial department on the acclaimed documentary, Transfatty Lives, which went on to win the audience awards at Tribeca Film Festival, The Milano Film Festival, and was long-listed for the 2015 Academy Awards. Transfatty Lives is now available on Netflix. Scott has produced for Sony Music and Sony Music Sweden, garnering an organic view count of 2 million for Ziggy and Carola.

In advertising and branded content, Scott spent the summer of 2016 working as a producer’s assistant at Whitehouse Post, a post-production VFX company and commercial house in New York City. He assisted on advertising spots for major companies, including Nike, NFL, NBA, Jeep, Target, VISA, and the 2016 Rio Olympics. Scott now based out of Atlanta, Georgia,  Scott previously held the position Senior Producer, Production & Business Affairs with independent production and financing company ADME Studios where he has successfully implemented processes and best practices in global production, independent financing, tax incentive management, business affairs, guild/union relations, residuals processing, debt-mezzanine transactions, and domestic/international distribution. ADME Studios is an LA-based independent production and financing company ADME Studios developing multiple upcoming SVOD focused projects in both narrative feature and documentary. Scott currently works as a Production Business Affairs Manager for Havas Annex Atlanta supporting Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Fanta, Vitamin Water, Aha, Sprite, Powerade, and Cracker Barrel, with production, legal, and financial matters across agency business units. Scott focuses on reducing dependencies, resolving issues, and maximizing productivity and output in the traditionally difficult to navigate the creative sector. Making it his goal to clearly define the individual processes of intricate workflows, isolating creative elements, streamlining the ideation procedures, and focusing on lasting and meaningful human connection. In his free time, Scott enjoys biking, kayaking, craft beer, cold brew and cheering for the always excellent Boston sports teams.
